A Sip of MoonGolden tresses frame your face,
And your pillow's soft as silk.
Here the moon is standing by
Like a pool of milk.
Let the dreamboat come along,
And take you for a ride.
You can choose your favorite teddy bear,
And carry him inside.
Sailing through a starry sky,
Holding onto teddy tight.
Know that mummy is still close by
Through the whole dark night.
Have a taste of sparkly star
And drink a sip of moon.
And when you feel that you have gone far
Then sail to your room.

I loved the imagery in the poem Wynken Blyken and Nod by Eugene Field and the traditional American lullaby Baby's Bed's a Silver Moon, so I thought I'd try my own version of the sailing off to sleep song.
